Gapingvoid Culture Design Group | Commissioned by the 89th Airlift Wing, United States Air Force
Project Scope: As part of a special request from the 89th Airlift Wing, Gapingvoid Culture Design Group was tasked with designing a set of menus to be presented to distinguished visitors aboard Air Force One, including VPOTUS and FLOTUS personnel. The menus were intended for formal occasions and required a visual tone that was both respectful and elevated.
The project called for a restrained, elegant design approach that aligned with established protocol and conveyed a sense of formality without unnecessary ornamentation. Typography, layout, and paper selection were carefully considered to reflect the prestige of the setting while ensuring clarity and usability in a formal dining context.
The final deliverables were print-ready assets, created in close collaboration with Air Force representatives to ensure all guidelines and standards were met. This project served as a unique intersection of design, diplomacy, and protocol, requiring a thoughtful balance of aesthetics and tradition.
